Charles Alexander

BA LLB (ANU)

Mr Alexander is a founding trustee of the Anthony Rothe Memorial Trust. He was a partner at Minter Ellison for nearly thirty years where he practiced principally in areas of intellectual property and privacy. He is currently a legal consultant to the Association of Independent Schools of New South Wales. He is a member of the Privacy Committee of the Law Council of Australia.

 

William Stevenson

MB BS BSc (Med) PhD FRACP FRCPA

William Stevenson is the Head of the Department of Haematology and Transfusion Medicine at Royal North Shore Hospital and a Clinical Professor in the Northern Blood Research Centre, Kolling Institute of Medical Research, the University of Sydney. He is the Supervising Pathologist of the NSW Health Pathology, Cytogenetic and Molecular Haematology Laboratories at Royal North Shore Hospital. He is a past President of the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand and previous member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group.

John B Fairfax

AO

John B Fairfax AO is a Director of Marinya Capital, his family office investment group. He began his career in newspapers in 1961 as a cadet journalist at the John Fairfax Limited newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald. He served as an overseas correspondent, and worked in management positions throughout Fairfax before joining the Board in 1979. He resigned as Deputy Chairman at the time of the Tryart takeover in 1987 and acquired an interest in Rural Press Limited where he was Chairman from 1990 until 2007 when it merged with Fairfax Media. He then re-joined the Fairfax Board until standing down in 2010. He was a member and chairman of various newspaper industry organisations. John has been a director of other public companies including Westpac Bank, GE Crane and Thomson Reuters Founders Share Company.

Mr Fairfax is actively involved with not-for-profit organisations including President of the Girls & Boys Brigade and Patron of Red Room Poetry and has enjoyed a long association with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (former Chairman of the Foundation). He is a founding trustee of the Anthony Rothe Memorial Trust.

Peter Welch

Mr Welch became a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1980. He was a partner in Deloitte Haskins & Sells between 1976 and 1987 and was a founding partner of Welch Porter chartered accountants from 1987 until he resigned from the partnership in 2005. He is a founding trustee of the Anthony Rothe Memorial Trust.

Tim Eustace

LL.B, CFP

After admission to the New Zealand Bar in 1984, Mr Eustace joined Buttle Wilson (later a JB Were’s subsidiary) to trade bonds and fixed interest securities. He later joined the equities desk of MacIntosh Hampson Hoare Govett in London, specialising in NZ and Australian stocks. Since 1989 he has worked as a Sydney based investment advisor, leaving UBS Private to establish his own business, Grosvenor Financial Services, in 2000. This was sold in 2009 to publicly-listed Perpetual Trustees, and Mr Eustace and his 40 staff transferred to Perpetual to form a new specialist division within it’s broader private wealth business. Mr Eustace is actively involved in a number of heritage and constitutional organisations, and serves as a trustee on over twenty private charitable foundations and superannuation funds. He has been a trustee of the Anthony Rothe Memorial Trust since 2013.
